Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) proudly announced the Graduation Ceremony of the Young Media Leaders (YML) – 2023 cohort, a remarkable initiative aimed at preparing undergraduate students for successful careers in the UAE media sector. The private ceremony took place on June 15, 2023, at the majlis of HE Sheikh Nahyan.
Since its establishment in 2007, Young Media Leaders, ADMAF has collaborated with renowned media training centers and partnered with the UAE’s most prominent universities to provide opportunities for more than 300 graduates to succeed in the country’s vibrant media scene. This year, in partnership with Sky News Arabia Academy, the programme welcomed 18 talented students from five esteemed universities, including Zayed University, Higher College of Technologies, NYUAD, Abu Dhabi University, and the American University of Sharjah.
Her Excellency Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation, Founder and Artistic Director of Abu Dhabi Festival, said: “For nearly three decades, the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation has recognised that the path to our nation’s future lies in the potential of our youth – a potential that must be nurtured and cultivated. The Foundation’s Young Media Leaders is an integral part of our mission to invest in and develop creative leadership among Emirati youth by enhancing knowledge and expertise through a comprehensive capacity-building programme that inspires young minds to become emerging leaders of the nation’s media industry.
“Fifteen years since its establishment, we are proud to celebrate this year the achievements of 18 graduates from five of the UAE’s top universities who demonstrated a dedicated passion for learning while gaining the necessary skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment through training and guidance offered by leading media experts in partnership with Sky News Arabia Academy. Their graduation from the programme is a testament to ADMAF’s commitment to empower the leaders of tomorrow with the essential skills needed to work towards a better, more prosperous future,” Her Excellency added.
During the graduation ceremony, the exceptional students were presented with certificates in recognition of their outstanding achievements throughout the program. This acknowledgment underscores their dedication, passion, and commitment to shaping the future of the UAE media sector.
The exclusive event was attended by the graduating class as well as the team from SKY News Arabia, members of the ADMAF Board of Trustees and Advisors, and key partners from participating universities.
