Powered by Progress: Q-Auto delivers 25 new Audi Q8 e-tron to KAHRAMAA


Q-Auto L.L.C has teamed up with the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) to supply 25 brand-new Audi Q8 e-tron to their fleet in Doha, Qatar. The Audi Q8 e-tron showcases Audi’s commitment to eco-friendly transportation, as it delivers a harmonious combination of performance, power and energy efficiency on the road.


The Audi Q8 e-tron is a perfect example of Audi’s unique blend of elegance, power and efficiency. The SUV provides a poweful and dynamic driving experience thanks to its twin motors , which generates 300 kW in boost mode and 664 Nm of torque with ranges up to 600 Kilometers on a single charge. The Q8 e-tron adapts flawlessly to any driving situation without compromising the passenger‘s comfort and safety.



In the transfer of Audi Q8 e-tron fleet of KAHRAMAA, Mr. Ahmed Shariefi, the Managing Director of Q-Auto L.L.C, passionately embodies his commitment. This pivotal step underscores Audi’s dedication to forstering sustainable mobility in Qatar, aligning with a broader initiative to prioritise electrification and sustainability. Audi Qatar’s partnership with KAHRAMAA is particularly significant given their pioneering role in steering the nation towards a greener tomorrow. As overseers of the EV stations network, KAHRAMAA ensures the seamless operation of the electric vehicles across the country.



Dr. Eng. Abdulla Al Wahidi, Director of Shared Services at KAHRAMAA, stated, “In line with Qatar’s EV Policy, we consistently add 10% electric vehicle to our operational fleet every year, with a vision to achieve complete electrification by 2030.” Dr. Al-Wahidi continued, “With the addition of 25 vehicles from Audi, we now boast a fleet of 50 electric vehicles of varied types. This makes KAHRAMAA the leading Governmental body in terms of EV numbers, highlighting our unwavering dedication to integrating diverse energy solutions, diminishing carbon emissions, and championing electric mobility within Qatar.”


Dr. Al-Wahidi further noted, “The integration of these 25 vehicles into KAHRAMAA’s fleet underscores our commitment to environmentally-conscious transportation as Qatar’s principal EV infrastructure entity. This addition is indeed a significant step towards our objective of achieving an all-electric fleet by 2030.”


KAHRAMAA, represented through the National Program of Conservation and Energy Efficiency, plays a key role in expanding the EV charging infrastructure within the country. To date, the corporation has successfully established over 160 fast DC chargers, with an ambition to elevate this count to 300 by the end of 2024, and double that to reach 600 by the close of 2025.
